We have successfully completed the projects for the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, we can take a step back and ruminate about our accomplishments.

It has been only a few days since the reveal of the house project for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on Wednesday afternoon last week.  The deep breath after the rush is a refreshing break from the chaotic orchestrations of running not only one, but two Extreme Makeover projects.

Several times during the weekend, I was asked what I thought was the most amazing part of working on a project like the Extreme Makeover.  My thoughts immediately turned to the incredible coordination of manpower around the clock for the 106 hour build time.  The deepest sense of hometown pride was encountered time and time again as we worked on the projects.  It was so exhilarating to have dozens of electricians working alongside dozens of plumbers, working around dozens of HVAC installers, all the while having the next phase of production around the corner waiting for the go-ahead to start their part.  At one time, I personally counted 173 contractors on site, with 128 of those working inside the house AT THE SAME TIME..  It was so incredible that I am still in awe that it went as smoothly as it did.

This was all possibe though the tireless efforts of people like our Mike Dinzebach and Dave Dunlap, Belcher Homes' Matt Belcher, Roger Kepner and Dan Riegel of Landmark Builders, Rob Walters of RTW Contracting, and Dan Rosenberg with Rosenberg, Inc..  While it may have been Consoldidated Construction Group Inc. with Callier Thompson Shea at the helm, it would have been impossible to accomplish this feat without the skilled management and passionate service of many of the elite remodelers and builders in St. Louis.

I would be remiss to not mention the hundreds if not thousands of selfless volunteers who committed thier own time and skills to make sure that this project stayed on schedule.  I saw people from companies like Tony Lee Construction, Roeser Construction, Whittaker Homes, and many, many others who were just there to help get the job done.  And I could never forget the countless volunteers helping keep the building machine running by helping with food services, material handling, cleanup, move-in, landscaping, and scores of other tasks.

We at Consolidated Construction Group extend the deepest of thanks to all who put in time, money, or material to help make the Malek and Martirez families' dreams come true .  Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
